On May 15, 1972, 201, 218, and 117 squadrons merged to form 818 Squadron. At first it was called 818 Downtown Squadron. On September 13, 1993, the name changed to 818 Toronto Falcon. Our crest has a fledgeling falcon on it, symbolizing the rebirth of the 3 previous squadrons.
